I haven’t been junking in a while. My dining room was overrun with
junk antiques. I have finally got it back under control, have reclaimed the dining room, and am now ready to begin accumulating again!
All I did this week was hit the flea market and a few thrift shops. I bought some stuff at the flea market, but it was so hot that I probably didn’t look as hard as I should have. First thing I bought was yet another West Bend cake carrier to add to my now huge collection…
Then I found one of my favorite finds ever…an old wood dough bowl. For $3. Seriously?? I cleaned it up with some Murphy’s, rubbed it with oil, and it looks beautiful. It is old, with a little crack on one handle, but it is huge, and perfect, and I love it!
I bought this great framed tapestry…it wasn’t as cheap as I would like, but I bought it anyway. It’s a monster, about 3 feet by 3 feet. I guess I should have taken the price tags off before I took the picture.
All in all, a good weekend!
