This year I am doing a weekly series every Monday on organizing. There is a great book that I found on Amazon, organize now, by Jennifer Ford Berry. The thing I really love about this book is that it is broken up in to weeks. There is a project for every week of the year, plus a few more. I am doing all of the weekly challenges this year, but I am changing the order up a bit.
Any printables from the Organize Now series are available here…
Now we are going to start on papers. The bane of our existence. No matter how high tech we get, there will probably always be paper to deal with.
ORGANIZE YOUR PAPERS

I know that I am not the only one always on the run. No, I don’t have a “real” job any more, but I still have a bunch of junk I have to take care of. My husband has been out of the country since last summer, I homeschool one son, ferry another son to high school, take my sons to all of their sports practices and games, haul my oldest to cello practices, lessons, performances and auditions, try to run my blog and antiques business, take care of my husband’s business, take care of my household… honestly, I feel a lot less together now than I ever did when I worked full time. Somehow I feel like I am juggling a lot more balls, and dropping most of them.
I am not saying that the organizational tools I have put together have totally solved all of my problems, but they do make me keep more of those balls in the air.
Since I seem to spend a lot of time waiting in my Suburban or in a folding chair, waiting and watching, I have come up with a “mobile office.” I have had several different incarnations of this, but it has basically stayed the same. It has everything I need to be able to run errands, fight boredom, or get some blogging or planning done no matter where I am.
Of course, I am now using a tote bag with my blog logo on it. Isn’t it cute? I am going to be giving one of these away for my big 100,000 Hits Giveaway!
I have printable copies of my master packing lists for all of these pouches posted here…
- Hobonichi Planner (week 15)
- Blog Planner (week 17)
- Homekeeping Binder (week 16)
- Brain Dump
- Action folder (week 18)

I just started using this planner this year, and I absolutely love it. I will be doing a post on it next week. This is where I do all of my personal time and task management.
I put this blog planner together using the disc bound system, and have printables from a few sources.
I have had a huge change in my life. I have broken up with Flylady after many years, and am now a devotee of Clean Mama! I am going to be showing you how I am now using her systems and printables in the next few weeks. Becky has also contributed a $25 credit from her Etsy store to my 100,000 Hits Giveaway! Thank you, Becky!
This is just a spiral notebook that I keep with me for random stuff…grocery lists, phone numbers…
This is a folder that I always take with me. In it I keep paperwork related to things I need to accomplish…prescriptions, forms for the DMV, things I need to mail, permission slips, whatever. I also have a folder in here where I keep coupons for Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohl’s, haircuts, oil changes…things that are not grocery related.

I almost forgot to include my MacBook Pouch….it has my MacBook charger and mouse in it.
I know this seems a little crazy, but this is the absolute maximum for my bag, I don’t always take all of it. Most of the time my Homekeeping Binder lives on my kitchen counter. I don’t always take my MacBook and charger pouch.
Do y’all have a good way to transport all of your planning stuff?
