I don’t even know where to begin.
My husband has been working in Saudi Arabia since last July. He and I really love junking together. He gets to come home every three months for about 10 days, and we usually go crazy shopping enough while he is home to keep me busy sorting it all out until he comes home the next time.
This time, he has been home for almost 4 weeks, because he is switching projects. We have junked so much I don’t know if I am ever going to get my house and garage straight again.
We are restoring our house, and some of the things I buy are for the house. The rest of it is for me to sell in my booth, which I have been neglecting. Along with my blog. We have been so busy since he got home trying to get projects completed around our current house, garden and pool and to get the Arthur Barnwell House ready for the mover to come finish putting it together that I haven’t had a minute to breathe, much less getting any work done on my blog or booth. Not to mention homeschooling, sports and music for our boys!
Here is a picture of one of my favorite places…the Pickens Jockey Lot.
Now Pickens is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but the good day is Wednesday. Yes, in the middle of the week. Pickens pretty much shuts down on Wednesday mornings for the Jockey Lot. And it is always PACKED. and you must get the breakfast of champions, pork rinds and boiled peanuts.
I finally found one of the items on my Flea Market Bucket List…an oak Gerstner machinist tool box!! Woo hoo! I have been looking for one for years, and can never find one for less than $400…I got mine for $60!!! I had to fight some poor man off of it, but it is mine!
My husband, by the way, is an evil, evil man. He hid one of the drawers from my tool chest, and made me think that I had bought it missing one. Isn’t that cruel? He put it back after about 10 minutes when my back was turned, just to let me think I was crazy.
