Let’s do a quick recap.
Now, I know you are going to think that I am absolutely crazy when I tell you that my house is looking FABULOUS!!
But what you have to understand is that section used to look like this…
Our house mover has got all of the sections butted up against each other and leveled.
What happens now?
The house has been adjusted so that it is over the concrete footings. Now we build piers under the house. The house is sitting over the footings (and the cellar), supported by steel beams…
Once the piers are in place, we can remove the steel, and lower the house on the piers. Then it will be nailed back together.
Then we start adding the second and third floors, with a REALLY big crane of course.
Isn’t it exciting??
Look! My floors are together, and you don’t have to leap from section to section any more!
